Different expression of adhesion molecules and tetraspanins of monocytes of patients with atopic eczema

AllergyJockers, J. J., et al. - Atopic eczema (AE) and psoriasis vulgaris (Pso) represent the most frequent chronic inflammatory skin diseases, which have a high number of characteristics in common but differ in their clinical picture and immunological background…Conclusion: A distinct expression pattern of adhesion molecules and tetraspanins on monocytes of patients with AE and Pso might influence the recruitment process of inflammatory precursor cells and facilitate new approaches for therapeutic strategies aimed at interrupting the very earliest steps of the fateful recruitment process
